Kacper Sztuka
wins again!

Kacper Sztuka achieved his goal: on Sunday, he won the race at the French Paul Ricard circuit! This put the Polish driver in the lead in the Eurocup-3 overall standings.

Sztuka came to the third round of the season as the runner-up in the overall standings, with three podium finishes in five races. This consistency continued last weekend, when he recorded the third fastest time in the first qualifying session.

The first race was intense from the start. The Pole fought a particularly fierce battle with Rivera, whom he first overtook with an excellent manoeuvre on the outside, but the ever-combative Mexican retaliated with a sharp manoeuvre a few corners later, pushing his teammate wide off the track. Ultimately, his mistake on the last lap allowed Kacper to regain his position on the lowest step of the podium.

Saturday’s sprint with a reversed twelve at the start was uneventful for the Pole. A solid drive earned him ninth place and another point in the championship standings.

A victorious Sunday

Sunday started even better for the driver from Cieszyn than the previous day. The best time in qualifying allowed him to secure the top spot on the starting grid. After the red lights went out, the Campos Racing representative lost his position to Rinicella and had to fend off Rivera’s attack in the first chicane. This time, the Pole came out on top.

The rest of the race was a strategic battle: Sztuka pulled away from his rivals behind him and stayed about a second behind Rinicella, but did not attack him. In the end, the Pole played this game masterfully – he kept his tyres in better condition and had more extra power from the push-to-pass system, which he used on the last lap to overtake his Italian rival and successfully defend himself to the finish line. Under these circumstances, the Polish national anthem sounded even more special on the podium at Paul Ricard.

“I haven’t been able to wipe the smile off my face since crossing the finish line in Sunday’s race. We have been working hard with the Campos Racing team since the start of the season and have been scoring solid points in every race. This consistent approach secured us another podium finish, our fourth of the season, in Saturday’s race, and I knew that victory was only a matter of time. I am glad that we achieved our goal on Sunday at this particular track. Paul Ricard has once again provided me with many positive memories that will be my driving force in preparing for the next round. And that will take place in two weeks’ time at Monza, where I have also done very well in the past. I would like to thank my partners, whom I have the privilege of representing this year: ORLEN Akademia Motorsportu, Extral Aluminium, Grupa Polskie Górnictwo Skalne and DL Logistics, as well as the fans: your support was incredible last weekend! We are leaving France as leaders in the overall standings and the goal for the next races is clear,” – Kacper Sztuka summed up his start in the third round of the season.

Overall standings
Kacper Sztuka leads the Eurocup-3 overall standings with 104 points after three rounds of the 2025 season. Second is Italy’s Mattia Colnaghi, 5 points behind, and third is Mexico’s Ernesto Rivera with the same number of points.
