Kacper Sztuka returned to the Eurocup-3 podium! The Polish driver took second place in Sunday’s race. All thanks to his excellent qualifying performance, which was impressive throughout the race weekend at the Jerez circuit.
The seventh round of the 2025 season went according to Kacper’s plan from the very beginning. He finished Friday’s two test sessions in second place. Campos Racing had great pace. The key was to maintain it for Saturday’s competition. The Pole was fourth in practice, but the real show of strength came in qualifying.
Kacper won it – for the third time this season. However, the penalty imposed on him during the last round in Belgium resulted in him being moved to sixth position at the start of the first race. “Qualifying went well – both the first and second sessions. If it weren’t for the penalty, we would definitely have been fighting for the podium or the win in the first race,” noted the Polish driver.
Kacper had the least luck during the entire weekend in the first race. Already in the second corner, Andrés Cárdenas, a Peruvian driver racing for MP Motorsport, hit his right rear wheel. This resulted in him being thrown into the gravel trap and dropping to last place, 27th, in the race. Good pace and experience allowed the Polish driver to move up 13 places and finish the race in 14th place.
What didn’t work out on Saturday worked out on Sunday. Kacper’s morning qualifying session was once again excellent. This time, he took second place, narrowly losing to Mattia Colnaghi. The first row in the second race, combined with Campos Racing’s good pace throughout the weekend, allowed us to calmly think about the podium and even a win. In the end, Kacper crossed the finish line in second place, also setting the fastest lap.
“A great end to the weekend in Jerez! We are standing on the second step of the podium after a good fight in the second race. An excellent weekend, very good pace. We still have one more round ahead of us. We are fighting for the vice-championship, so we are moving on! I would like to thank my sponsors, thanks to whom I can fight for the highest goals – the Orlen Group and the Motorsport Academy, Extral Aluminium, the Polish Rock Mining Group, and DL Logistics. See you on the track in Barcelona,” concluded Kacper.
Now the drivers have a longer break ahead of them. The last round of this Eurocup-3 season is scheduled for November 14-16.
